79 AD. Vesuvius buried everything  around. Pompeii, Herculaneum, Stabiae, Oplontis and all its habitants.
Time has not corrupted the ancient civitas, for layer of ash, lapilli and lava of Vesuvius. Was excavated for many years and the discovery was surprising: the Scavi Archeologici Di Pompei .
Today is the most visited monument of Italy after the Colosseum.
A few steps from here staircase to “Falesia Lettere – Napoli – Climbing Area” overlooking right on the volcano, on the Gulf of Naples and lawland  Nuceria-Pompeiiers.
