🌄 Let’s Reconnect with Nature: Ecological Volunteering at Pompei Crag with Direzione Verticale! 🌳🧗♂️✨
On 23 November 2025, and on other dates throughout the season, one of the most heartfelt events for the Campania climbing and outdoor community returns: the ecological volunteering day promoted by Direzione Verticale, dedicated to climbers, families, and mountain lovers! A special opportunity to make a real impact by restoring paths, cleaning, protecting, and taking care of our beloved crag. 🧥🌱🪓[web:16][web:50]
🎯 Why join?
We are a community that loves the mountains and respects their true essence.
Volunteering is the only way we can “give back” for the welcome we receive: we clean where we climb, restore paths, remove trash left behind by less aware visitors, and raise awareness.
During past editions, we have maintained trails and access, proving that real change starts from small, consistent, shared actions.
The planet can only improve if each of us decides to step up with passion and commitment. 💚
📅 How the day works
Meeting point: 09:00 at the Pompei crag entrance.
Briefing: activity overview and creation of work teams (climbers, hikers, families).
Action! Trail cleaning, rubbish collection, restoring access and starts of the routes, improving overall accessibility.
Wrap-up: debrief and final group selfie on the crag slabs. 🥖☕📸
🛠️ What to bring
Hand saw or pruning tools, sturdy work gloves, large trash bags, and plenty of energy and team spirit!
“SaveNature”: every single item removed makes a difference – cans, plastic, scrap metal, paper and litter of all kinds.
Comfortable outdoor clothing and, if possible, your Direzione Verticale T‑shirt (don’t have one yet? You can buy it on the day of the event – reserve it when you book your spot).

🚩 Event goals
Recover at least 200 kg of rubbish, in line with the best results from past editions.
Educate both adults and children to respect the area, through games and educational activities on sustainability.
Encourage collaboration between climbers, hikers, and local volunteers.
Strengthen the group spirit and grow the Pompei and Campania climbing community.
